Hi everybody!
I am literally racing against the clock to get this email done, but we have had a great week here full of miracles, hence the reference to a Hunchback of Notre Dame song.
First things first, we did have our transfer calls, and I am:
-Staying with my companion, making Elder Sierra the companion I have been with the longest thus far
-Staying in Alta Vista (the Spanish speaking branch) only now there will be 3 sets of missionaries in it
-we both will be leaving the Palo Verde Ward, which we were very sad about
-moving apartments for the 4th transfer in a row for me
-gaining a new english area, which overlaps our spanish area, which is exciting.

We had a miracle this week in which we saw a man change before our eyes. His name is Jose, and he has been a member of the church his whole life. He was married in the temple in El Salvador many years ago, but ended up getting divorced from her and started a family with a lady named Alma, here in Las Vegas/Henderson. He went less active(hasnt attended church) 15 years ago, and his wife Alma has wanted to be baptized for almost that long, and she goes to church every week. The only thing holding her back is that they aren't married. I love this family so much. Long story short, we had a lesson with just them, without the kids, thanks to the help of a few of the leaders in organizing an activity for the kids at the chapel. In that lesson, we asked what detained Alma from being baptized. She didnt tell us everything, even though we knew the situation. Anyways, we taught simply about faith in Christ and His Atonement, and repentance. And that is when José, told us that he was ready to change. He said he received his answer from God during General Conference, and that he wants to change now! It was amazing! We were able to meet with him a few days later, in which he told us that he doesnt want to hold Alma back any more, and he is ready to get married! This was an answer to prayers said by all members of our branch, and us! We sent him the info to get a marriage license, and so he will get that this week so that they can get married as soon as possible, and our hope is that Alma will be baptized next weekend! Because she is SOOO ready! She has been going to church alone with their children for YEARS! Hopefully all will pan out this week!
Thats it for this week folks!
Sincerely,
Elder Lovell
