Hola todos!
Sorry I don't have a ton of time, but I do want to tell you guys a few highlights of the week:

-we
had a really funny dinner appointment on Sunday, when we went to the
hermana's house, she lived alone, and we aren't supposed to be alone with
women if there is no 3rd Male present, so we had to awkward sit in the
doorway as she frantically started making food for us to take with us.
Then she told us (in Spanish) "oh yeah, the sister missionaries are
coming too!" We have two sets of missionaries serving in our branch, and
we aren't supposed to be together for meals, so when they showed up, it
was a surprise for all of us! The wonderful sister from the branch was
cutting zucchini like she was on Top Chef, and cooking like a crazy
person! She eventually gave us a bunch of food to go, and so we thanked
her and left, but then what happened was that she forgot to give us
eating utensils! But that was okay, because I have become a pro at using
corn tortillas as spoons, ha ha.
-we had zone
conference, which is always awesome! We have started having them at our
mission office, on the other side of Henderson.
- Here is a miracle we had this past week:

We
had an appointment fall through, so we decided to walk around and talk
to people. The part of our area that we were in seemed almost untouched
by previous missionaries. We walked past these two ladies, and offered
them a card, and one of them said "I'm a ward missionary, you can talk
to my husband, we live right around the corner." So we knocked on this
member's door, we were in a different ward than our own (in our Spanish
area) and we talked to the Brother for a bit, then asked him if he knew
any of his neighbors that spoke Spanish. He pointed straight ahead at
the house in front of us, and so we knocked on the door, and met José
and Moni. José was very nice, and has a brother who is a member of the
church, he didn't talk to us for very long because he had to get ready
for work. However, we had such a powerful discussion with his wife Moni.
She loved what we taught her about the Book of Mormon and how it
testifies of Christ. She, based off of past experiences, she did not
follow any organized religion, but after we talked to her, she was very
open to us coming back and as we testified of the fact that the Book of
Mormon was evidence that the church and authority of God has been
restored, she wanted us to come back! It was cool that we were able to
meet them after following a small prompting to walk around, and
committing to talk to literally everyone. We are seeing them tonight, so
pray that the appointment goes through!
Hope
you all have a great week! Shout out to my sister Dana for starting
college this week at BYU, and all of those who have just left or are
preparing to leave for missions soon! I love you all!
