Hola todos!

We have had a pretty amazing week here in good ole, dusty Henderson, Nevada. So many miracles have happened this past week. Yesterday we had a really fun day finding new people to teach. One lady we found ended up knowing a member from one of my past areas, actually the member was from the Spanish speaking ward that met in one of my past chapels. That was really fun. Her 7 year old daughter thought we were stalkers, ha ha. That was a new one. We also found people from El Salvador, Durango Mexico, Sao Paolo Brazil, and Guatemala. The lady from Guatemala knows Luis and Cinthia, the family that we are teaching right now! That was super cool. Turns out they all work at the Luxor Casino. The Luxor is the pyramid that lights up at the top, if you have ever seen it, on The Strip.

The reason for the title of my email, is not only because it is a great Nat King Cole song that does go great with my name, but it also describes how I have grown to really love the members and nonmembers in my area. My love for the people I am serving here in Henderson, members and nonmembers, has deepened so much this past week. I really feel that I have grown a lot this past week. On Sunday, there was some extra time in our Palo Verde ward (our English speaking ward) sacrament meeting, so our bishop got up, and asked Elder Sierra and I to stand. We stood, and he, from the pulpit, commended us for the hard work we were doing in their ward, and then lovingly invited his ward to be anxiously engaged in missionary work during the month of September. It was so good. My respect for that Bishop quadrupled in those 2 short minutes. I literally felt his tangible love for the members of his ward. It was amazing. My love for all the members in the ward also grew there, and for all those we are teaching.

We had a great lesson with Luis and Cinthia. Luis is getting baptized on September 21st, and he is literally preparing himself. It is so cool to see the Spirit work on him, every time we are there. The member we were with at the lesson talked to him and Cinthia of different ways they can get time off to go to church, and one of the ways, was to learn English so he could valet park at the Luxor. I almost burst with joy when he said this, because we are teaching an English as a Second Language class!! He was super excited to find out about this, and he is coming this Thursday to it!

The greatest motivator in missionary work, is love. If you love God and Jesus Christ, you will have a desire to be obedient, and develop Christlike love for those you interact with. It truly is amazing. For those of you out there serving missions, getting ready to leave on missions, and for the rest of you, remember to love the people around you, because that is the greatest way to find out how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you!

Have a great week!
