16 July 2019: Burning Shirts and Lit Memories
Hello all!

Contemplating the year with the burning shirt |
We
also had a few exchanges (exchanges are when we switch companions for a
day), including with the Assistants to the President in Henderson. It
was so much fun. I learned a lot from Elder Salisbury, about being
humble. I burned my shirt for my year mark on my mission while we were
at their house. That was fun. They had a wood stove that I burned it in.
It was a ton of fun.
We
also had an exchange with some elders in our zone. It was a fun
exchange. One of the Elders ended up getting sick and so they stayed
extra long as we went to a meeting with our ward mission leader. It's
super cool because our ward mission leader is the mayor of North Las
Vegas. He is so busy, but he is so supportive.

G-money and I at the Blind Center of Nevada. He is a blind gangster from LA. I love his stories. |
"Yea,
I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so
bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on
the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my
joy"
I know that through
the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can feel true joy, despite our pains.
I know that for a fact. Always keep learning and feeling how you can
feel the power of the Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Love you all,
Elder Lovell
