7 May 2019: The Final Countdown (kind of)

Hello!

I feel like all of my letters are getting shorter and shorter because I have no time. The reason for the title for this email, is because this past week it was transfers, and then exchanges with the Assistants, and district councils (we have two on Thursday and Friday) and we both were sick on Thursday. However, through our faith and determination to work till the end, we found 12 new people to teach on Saturday and Sunday! And we were fortunate enough to set 3 people on date for baptism this past week! The work is progressing so quickly out here. It felt so great to work in my area again. I really learned the importance of utilizing all of your time. 

My new companion is Elder Loutensock, he is originally from the States, but because of his dad's work, he is from Frankfurt, Germany. He is a really hard worker, and we are going to have a lot of success. He has been out one more transfer than me.

We were really privileged to go to the temple today. So much peace and happiness was there. I really needed that trip. Its been since November that I went for myself. 

One cool story: Yesterday we set Andre on date for baptism! His siblings were baptized at the end of March, and he has been getting a lot of flak from his family for not joining the church, and yesterday we felt impressed to take him aside and just talk to him. We did, and while we were walking with him, he told us that he wants to be baptized, but he just wants to not feel pressure from his family. He wants to be with his family forever, but feels a lot of pressure from his family. We asked him if this was something he truly wanted. He said he did, so we lovingly invited him to be baptized, and he said he would. What a miracle!

Hello everyone! This week has been a week full of miracles! It was a busy one, due to transfer duties being taken care of. It's fun being in a trio, especially with a former companion of mine.  We had a pretty amazing experience on Sunday. We had just gotten home from church, and we got a call from someone, who asked if we would please come and teach her son. She had received a card from missionaries with our phone number on it about a year and a half ago, and her son was really struggling, and so her and her husband decided to call us to have us come teach their family. That never ever happens to us, and so of course we would! We went to their house, which was in a part of our area in which we didn't really go much because of the lack of Spanish speaking people there, but they lived there! We had the most powerful conversation with the family. This wonderful Sister and her husband were crying as we taught their son that yes there is a God, and that he was a son of God...

18 Dec 2018: ¿¡Voy a ser un líder de distrito?!

Hola mi gente! Well, another transfer has come and gone and I will be.... Leaving Washington Avenue! Yesterday afternoon I also learned from a certain phone call from President that I will be the district leader in a new district! Who woulda thunk it! My new area is going to be two wards called Freedom Park and Christy Lane, and my new companion, who came out with Elder Troya, is from Honduras! His name is Elder Carpio, and he is fantastic! I'm so excited, and a bit nervous, but that's neither here nor there. If I learned anything from the past two transfers, it is that the Lord qualifies who he calls . That has been made very clear to me the past few months. He qualifies whom He calls. 22 August 2018: Arrived in NV

Hola mi familia! I just wanted to let you know that I arrived in Las Vegas safely! It was quite a beautiful drive, until we got into the city and I couldn't look out the window without looking back in the car again if you know what I mean... P days are on Tuesdays here, except for next week which it will be on Thursday.  I love you all!  Here is a picture of Elder Cluff and I before we would be separated forever... Traveling to NV today! Vegas here we come! No airport or plane needed ... this was our means of travel to get to NV  Note: The bottom three photos were sent to us from a random helper who took these photos and sent them to the missionaries' families on the day they traveled. It was great to get the update since we weren't able to communicate with Clark that day (aside from the note above that he sent us).
