1 May 2019: There Can Be Miracles!

Hi all!

Another transfer has come and gone, and I am.....staying in Sandhill! However, Elder Hernandez will be leaving to go be companions with my former companion, Elder Carpio, being a district leader in a Spanish Ward! I am sad to see him go, but excited to train Elder Loutensock to be a zone leader with me! Our zone literally has the potential to lead the mission. 

We were supposed to have 4 baptisms this past weekend, but due to circumstances way out of our control, the Echipare kids were unable to be baptized. We found out an hour before the service. Dias got baptized though, and it was a really special experience, but it was sad that the girls couldn't get baptized. We saw them later that day, and they were pretty sad. 

We found a really cool family on Friday, through kids that we had talked to many weeks previous and we were able to find and teach the rest of the family, and it was a really awesome miracle that day!

We had Mission Leadership Conference yesterday and it was great! We had it, then we got our transfer calls, and that was pretty much our day.

Sorry I don't have much time, but I just want to say that even if tragedy strikes, miracles will happen if we have faith. We had a really hard Saturday, but Friday was really awesome! Through faith in Christ, miracles will happen!

Hello everyone! This week has been a week full of miracles! It was a busy one, due to transfer duties being taken care of. It's fun being in a trio, especially with a former companion of mine.  We had a pretty amazing experience on Sunday. We had just gotten home from church, and we got a call from someone, who asked if we would please come and teach her son. She had received a card from missionaries with our phone number on it about a year and a half ago, and her son was really struggling, and so her and her husband decided to call us to have us come teach their family. That never ever happens to us, and so of course we would! We went to their house, which was in a part of our area in which we didn't really go much because of the lack of Spanish speaking people there, but they lived there! We had the most powerful conversation with the family. This wonderful Sister and her husband were crying as we taught their son that yes there is a God, and that he was a son of God...

18 Dec 2018: ¿¡Voy a ser un líder de distrito?!

Hola mi gente! Well, another transfer has come and gone and I will be.... Leaving Washington Avenue! Yesterday afternoon I also learned from a certain phone call from President that I will be the district leader in a new district! Who woulda thunk it! My new area is going to be two wards called Freedom Park and Christy Lane, and my new companion, who came out with Elder Troya, is from Honduras! His name is Elder Carpio, and he is fantastic! I'm so excited, and a bit nervous, but that's neither here nor there. If I learned anything from the past two transfers, it is that the Lord qualifies who he calls . That has been made very clear to me the past few months. He qualifies whom He calls. He has qualified me to be a trainer, and I know that if I am worthy of it, He will qualify me to be a district leader.  Oh yeah, Elder Troya is going to good ole Blythe, CA to be companions with our old zone leader, Elder Lawson. 22 August 2018: Arrived in NV

Hola mi familia! I just wanted to let you know that I arrived in Las Vegas safely! It was quite a beautiful drive, until we got into the city and I couldn't look out the window without looking back in the car again if you know what I mean... P days are on Tuesdays here, except for next week which it will be on Thursday.  I love you all!  Here is a picture of Elder Cluff and I before we would be separated forever... Traveling to NV today! Vegas here we come! No airport or plane needed ... this was our means of travel to get to NV  Note: The bottom three photos were sent to us from a random helper who took these photos and sent them to the missionaries' families on the day they traveled. It was great to get the update since we weren't able to communicate with Clark that day (aside from the note above that he sent us).
