2 April 2019: President Youngblood's Got Jokes!

I don't have a ton of time anymore, I never do, but I just want to make sure that I got an email out to you guys.

We had a baptism for Jalen, Junior, and Jazmin on Saturday. That was super fun, because they are all starting middle school and high school, so its good that they now have the Gift of the Holy Ghost. There was a lot of people at their baptism, and their family invited their non member friends, who all loved the service. Then we went to this Mexican restaurant named Macayo's. It was pretty expensively bland. It was like a sit down restaurant version of taco bell. Its basically the whitest Mexican restaurant on the planet.

Anyway, yesterday, we had MLC (Mission Leadership Council) where all the zone leaders, sister training leaders, and the assistants, and President and Sister Youngblood. It was a great meeting, and I felt the Spirit very strong. But as for President Youngblood's sense of humor, it is fire. There was an announcement that the device that monitors our driving, called Tiwi, would now be recording video and audio in and out of the cars. We all bought it, until the end when President said "Now regarding the new Tiwis...APRIL FOOLS!" and he got up and dropped the marker! (Because he didn't have a microphone, ha ha) we all lost it. Sister Youngblood had to leave the room so she wouldn't spoil the secret. I love my mission.

I wish I had more time to write, but I just want to say how love and faith totally replace fear. The past two weeks, being a zone leader has been pretty stressful, but I have realized that when I have faith, my fears and stress go away. I know that the Atonement rids us of fear, and all other unsavory things.

We set a family of four yesterday for baptism, that we have been working with for a while. Its awesome in Vegas

Hello everyone! This week has been a week full of miracles! It was a busy one, due to transfer duties being taken care of. It's fun being in a trio, especially with a former companion of mine.  We had a pretty amazing experience on Sunday. We had just gotten home from church, and we got a call from someone, who asked if we would please come and teach her son. She had received a card from missionaries with our phone number on it about a year and a half ago, and her son was really struggling, and so her and her husband decided to call us to have us come teach their family. That never ever happens to us, and so of course we would! We went to their house, which was in a part of our area in which we didn't really go much because of the lack of Spanish speaking people there, but they lived there! We had the most powerful conversation with the family. This wonderful Sister and her husband were crying as we taught their son that yes there is a God, and that he was a son of God...

18 Dec 2018: ¿¡Voy a ser un líder de distrito?!

Hola mi gente! Well, another transfer has come and gone and I will be.... Leaving Washington Avenue! Yesterday afternoon I also learned from a certain phone call from President that I will be the district leader in a new district! Who woulda thunk it! My new area is going to be two wards called Freedom Park and Christy Lane, and my new companion, who came out with Elder Troya, is from Honduras! His name is Elder Carpio, and he is fantastic! I'm so excited, and a bit nervous, but that's neither here nor there. If I learned anything from the past two transfers, it is that the Lord qualifies who he calls . That has been made very clear to me the past few months. He qualifies whom He calls. He has qualified me to be a trainer, and I know that if I am worthy of it, He will qualify me to be a district leader.  Oh yeah, Elder Troya is going to good ole Blythe, CA to be companions with our old zone leader, Elder Lawson. 22 August 2018: Arrived in NV

Hola mi familia! I just wanted to let you know that I arrived in Las Vegas safely! It was quite a beautiful drive, until we got into the city and I couldn't look out the window without looking back in the car again if you know what I mean... P days are on Tuesdays here, except for next week which it will be on Thursday.  I love you all!  Here is a picture of Elder Cluff and I before we would be separated forever... Traveling to NV today! Vegas here we come! No airport or plane needed ... this was our means of travel to get to NV  Note: The bottom three photos were sent to us from a random helper who took these photos and sent them to the missionaries' families on the day they traveled. It was great to get the update since we weren't able to communicate with Clark that day (aside from the note above that he sent us).
