26 Feb 2019: Let it snow, let it snow, let it ... wait WHAT?!

Hola todos!
the corner of Spiritual Way and Salvation St.

When I left for my mission, I thought I would never see snow for the next two years. But I was wrong. Yup! It snowed in the desert on Thursday. It didn't really stick but it was fun to look out my window and see snow on the mountains. That was a fun surprise. It melted by noon.

I don't have a ton of time today, but it has been a pretty busy week. I have learned a lot of patience and humility this past week. We had a ton of appointments fall through, but that's pretty normal.

Yesterday we had an appointment with someone who we hadn't taught in a while asked us to come over, and that he would be inviting some friends over. Turns out that his friends just wanted to bash, which is a huge waste of time.

Saturday we had a baptism in another elder's area, that was really cool. It was all in Spanish, and it was a cool experience. Two young boys that I got to interview got baptized, and I had the privilege to interview them for baptism. Baptismal interviews are just for us to hear their testimonies and how much Jesus Christ has become a part of their life. It is a privilege for me to be a part of that.

This week was tough, because of all the fallen through appointments, but I realized that what I was praying for, to be more patient and humble, was actually what I was getting. I learned that God doesn't gift wrap Christlike attributes and give them to us. He gives us opportunities to forge them, and earn them.

Love you guys!

Snow (can you see it?)
Snow!
A painting in a missionary apartment that I found with a missionary on it that looks like my trainer, elder elder Dillender

Picture at the top: We went proselyting on the corner of Salvation street and Spiritual way. Unfortunately we found no one to teach.
