19 March 2019: Man in the Mirror
Hola todos!
We
also met this man, who told us that he was baptized over 40 years ago,
and wanted help getting back to church. In the last couple of days we
have been growing really close to him. This work is awesome!
Spiritual
thought of the week: this week, especially the last 24 hours, I have
been doing a lot of self reflection. And anyone who knows me knows that I
love music. I think that one song that has reflected how I have felt in
the past week is Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror"

Elder Carpio and I with Jimmy, the man we are teaching who will be baptized next month |
I have negative
infinity amount of time to write today, because of transfers being
tomorrow, but it has been a fantastic week here in North Vegas! We did a
ton of service including moving a shed (yes we literally moved a
building) across a large yard with many potholes in it.
We
found this family that is from the same part of Honduras as Elder
Carpio, and we ended up having to refer them to the Spanish ward today,
but they are golden! The thing that is even cooler, is that Elder Carpio
will be going to the Spanish ward in this stake! So he will be able to
teach them anyway!

Us missionaries and the Monte Bello ward mission leader at the "Why I Believe" Fireside |
I
wish I had time to tell you everything else that happened this week. We
had a fireside (kind of like a testimony meeting) called Why I Believe,
and that's where the recent converts in the stake bear their testimony.
Alejandro, who we baptized in Freedom Park bore his testimony, and he
cried. Luz, who we baptized in Christy Lane, bore her testimony, and
called herself St. Luz again.
We
got our transfer calls, and we are getting double transferred again.
Elder Carpio is going to the Monte Bello ward, the Spanish ward in the
stake we are in now. I am going to be transferred out of the zone, and
was called by President Youngblood yesterday, who told me that I would
be a zone leader. This will be a wild ride!

Especially
with this new calling, and just being a missionary, I need to reflect
on how I'm doing. I think self evaluations every once in a while are
great, especially about spiritual things.
Love you guys!
Elder Lovell
