Hola todos,

Its been a crazy 4 days here at the MTC! I've learned a lot of Spanish in the last few days, and a lot about the gospel! My district (my class), is all elders, which isn't common. Usually there are a few sister missionaries in the district, but since graduation just happened last month, there have been a lot of elders coming into the MTC. 
    Its been great learning so much, even though we literally have 6-8 hours of Spanish a day, and another hour or two of gospel study. My district consists of twelve elders, or six companionships, and we are already like brothers. 
     My companion is named Elder Cluff, from Portland, OR. He is also going to Las Vegas! He has quickly become one of my best friends, as well as many others in my district.
     Since Wednesday we have had so many awesome things happen, from awesome workshops to amazing lessons. My branch president, President Cuthbert and my Zone Leaders, Elder Gazdik and Elder Jardine are all great people. My zone has some of the funniest guys I've ever met!

     I don't have as much time as I would like to type today, we only got half a P-day, probably because I've only been here half the week, haha. I'd love to hear from you!

Hello everyone! This week has been a week full of miracles! It was a busy one, due to transfer duties being taken care of. It's fun being in a trio, especially with a former companion of mine.  We had a pretty amazing experience on Sunday. We had just gotten home from church, and we got a call from someone, who asked if we would please come and teach her son. She had received a card from missionaries with our phone number on it about a year and a half ago, and her son was really struggling, and so her and her husband decided to call us to have us come teach their family. That never ever happens to us, and so of course we would! We went to their house, which was in a part of our area in which we didn't really go much because of the lack of Spanish speaking people there, but they lived there! We had the most powerful conversation with the family. This wonderful Sister and her husband were crying as we taught their son that yes there is a God, and that he was a son of God...

18 Dec 2018: ¿¡Voy a ser un líder de distrito?!

Hola mi gente! Well, another transfer has come and gone and I will be.... Leaving Washington Avenue! Yesterday afternoon I also learned from a certain phone call from President that I will be the district leader in a new district! Who woulda thunk it! My new area is going to be two wards called Freedom Park and Christy Lane, and my new companion, who came out with Elder Troya, is from Honduras! His name is Elder Carpio, and he is fantastic! I'm so excited, and a bit nervous, but that's neither here nor there. If I learned anything from the past two transfers, it is that the Lord qualifies who he calls . That has been made very clear to me the past few months. He qualifies whom He calls. He has qualified me to be a trainer, and I know that if I am worthy of it, He will qualify me to be a district leader.  Oh yeah, Elder Troya is going to good ole Blythe, CA to be companions with our old zone leader, Elder Lawson. 22 August 2018: Arrived in NV

Hola mi familia! I just wanted to let you know that I arrived in Las Vegas safely! It was quite a beautiful drive, until we got into the city and I couldn't look out the window without looking back in the car again if you know what I mean... P days are on Tuesdays here, except for next week which it will be on Thursday.  I love you all!  Here is a picture of Elder Cluff and I before we would be separated forever... Traveling to NV today! Vegas here we come! No airport or plane needed ... this was our means of travel to get to NV  Note: The bottom three photos were sent to us from a random helper who took these photos and sent them to the missionaries' families on the day they traveled. It was great to get the update since we weren't able to communicate with Clark that day (aside from the note above that he sent us).
