19 Nov 2019: "Let me tell you how we feel ..."

Hello everyone! Sorry again for the late email from last week, for some reason my phone doesnt like to work sometimes.  Anyway, we had a really cool lesson witb Shawney on Saturday. We taught essentially just faith and repentance, and how awesome they are. When we have Faith in Christ, we want to do all we can to be like Him, and so we repent, to be more like Him. Repentance is truly a gift from our Father in Heaven. We taught her this, and she opened up to us about some things that she was battling and struggling with. After teaching her some more, we asked her "how do you feel about this, what is going through your head right now?"  She said "Honestly, I am feeling pretty mad at myself right now, because of what I did. I should be better for my daughter...." and she talked about some other things. But when she said that, so much love for her filled me. Seriously, I don't know how it happened, but all of the sudden, I just felt so much love for her....

Hi everyone!!  In our area we experienced a crazy miracle!! On Thursday, a member we had with us to visit Erika and Joan, told us thst he had been visiting members homes that he ministers to, and a lady answered the one door, and said that she would love to have missionaries over! Yesterday we taught her the Restoration, and she was in tears! I have never seen anyone react to that message in that way before! It was such a beautiful experience. Then get this, while planning for the lesson, we both knew that we were going to invite her to be baptized in the first visit, and Elder Sierra felt that we should invite her to be baptized on December 14th. I was feeling a little ...

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week! We had some weird experiences this week, including people telling us that the spirits that dwelt with them told them that they were pleased with us being there. Specifically a cuban lady told us that the archangel Michael lives with her and he was pleased that we were there. So that was a plus...I think? The highlight was that we got to do something called Camp Preach My Gospel, where 16-18 year old young men and young women, who have been studying the missionary manual Preach My Gospel, spend a day proselyting with us. The young man with us actually was a member of the Palo Verde Ward that we knew pretty well! That was cool! We were able to talk to a bunch of people, and find a part member family, where one or more members of the family are members of the church. We were able to help him learn how to teach and testify of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that he will be a great missionary. It is a great way to get ...
