Mission Adventures of Elder Clark Lovell

Hey everyone! This past week was full of amazing lessons, and great people! We had a great time teaching people about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to those who had the question on their mind "how do I know which church is true?" The Book of Mormon was a powerful tool for us this week as we testified that there is a prophet on the earth today, and the Book of Mormon is evidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to its fullness in our days.  The reason for the title is because on Wednesday, on the day of transfers, Elder Sierra and I, and four other elders, moved what used to be in a 3 bedroom house, including food, furniture and appliances, into a smaller, 2 bedroom apartment on the other side of Henderson! We were very sweaty by the end of the day. It took up pretty much the whole day, especially because it is on the second landing of the apartment building. We had a lot of great help though.  ...

Hello everyone! Today is the last day before transfers, and I am staying in Alta Vista/Palo Verde!! And I am also staying with my companion, Elder Sierra!! Its going to be awesome! Finally, the 6 month streak of one transfer companions is broken! We are going to have such a great transfer! Elder Hernandez, one of my former companions, is also coming to my zone!  It is a super busy day for me, and I dont have a ton of time, but I just wanted to say that we have a God in heaven, who is our literal Eternal Father. We are literally his children, and have our own sacred, divine identity. I have really come to know that this past transfer, and I know that the Book of Mormon is the way that we can truly get to know Him and His Son. The Bible and the Book of Mormon are companions in testifying of these eternal truths. I know them to be true! Have a great week! Hola todos! Sorry I don't have a ton of time, but I do want to tell you guys a few highlights of the week: -we had a really funny dinner appointment on Sunday, when we went to the hermana's house, she lived alone, and we aren't supposed to be alone with women if there is no 3rd Male present, so we had to awkward sit in the doorway as she frantically started making food for us to take with us. Then she told us (in Spanish) "oh yeah, the sister missionaries are coming too!" We have two sets of missionaries serving in our branch, and we aren't supposed to be together for meals, so when they showed up, it was a surprise for all of us! The wonderful sister from the branch was cutting zucchini like she was on Top Chef, and cooking like a crazy person! She eventually gave us a bunch of food to go, and so we thanked her and left, but then what happened was that she forgot to give us eating utensils! But that was okay, because I have become a p...
