Mission Adventures of Elder Clark Lovell

Hey everyone! Its been a crazy week, not to mention the awesome announcement from the First Presidency about the communications policy. I'm excited to see the blessings that will come from this!  We had a cool experience on Friday. Rewind about a month ago, and I was on exchanges in another area. We were at a stoplight on the crosswalk, and there was a guy with cool shoes flipping a sign for work. I said to him " Hey man! I like your shoes! Where did you get them?" "Mississippi" and that was about the extent of the conversation. Fastforward to about Thursday night, and we get a referral to go visit someone. We call him that night and visit him while I was on exchanges with an elder in my district. Turns out, it was the same guy that I had talked to several weeks ago! Hey everyone! I don't have a ton of time today, but a funny thing happened yesterday. We were tracting (knocking doors), and we knock on this guys door, and he starts to low key bash us, and at the end he is just like "see you gotta have charm to talk to black people. See I let you in because I'm nice, but to talk to other black guys, you gotta have charm!" It was a weird conversation. Gotta love Vegas. Seriously though, I love my mission, and Vegas.  We took Luz to the temple on Saturday!! Oh man, talk about an awesome feeling I felt there. We actually got there late, because of a baptismal interview we had to do, but we got there in time to do confirmations for her family names. I once heard on a talk that I was listening to, that white, the color we wear in the temple, symbolizes "victory". Boy is that true. It was victorious that a daughter of God had been brought unto Christ, even to the temple. Victorious white. It just sounds awe...

Sister Smith sent the other two photos about a week later :). ❤️ ❤️ ❤️   Had the opportunity to have the missionaries over for dinner Sunday night and to work with them all this week on missionary work Wonderful Young Man I know you're very pleased with him. I know my husband and I are enjoying our week of missionary work with them. I spent tonight Monday night at a new convert's home with them helping her get some Temple work ready to go. And FYI they're not getting transferred this week they're staying in our Ward ....Yay for us and hopefully by the weekend they'll be able to take the new member they baptized Luz to the temple to do baptisms-- she's getting her recommend tomorrow. Hola peeps, My trainer, Elder Dillender, heads home Hope all has been excelente for you all! To address the title of this week's email in the Mission Saga, we were on the bus one night, on the second floor of a doubledecker bus (yes they exist outside of London) and I look next to me and there was an African American man who was dressed in full on Black Panther Cosplay. I was half impressed and half disappointed that it wasn't Chadwick Boseman. So I guess he ran out of Vibranium and had to take the bus.  This week has actually been very good. Hailey got baptized, and someone we are teaching came to the baptism, which was awesome! The stake president baptized her, and it was such a special experience.  Tuesday night, someone we are teaching took us out for dinner to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Elder Carpio's birthday.
